Owner/President, CPA, GMB, CAPS, CGR, - Mike grew up right here in Knoxville, but his innovative approach to homebuilding and design has been influenced by his time living in unique locales like San Francisco and St. Louis. He brings a lifetime of these types of experiences to every project and takes a hands-on approach to each client engagement. An avid traveler, family man and sports fan, Mike can be found spending quality time with his wife, Jill, and two children, Scott and Lauren, while outside the office.
Construction Warranty Manager- Alex came to Turner Homes from Johnson & Galyon, where he worked with our Rick Neumann. He's been in the construction industry for most of his life, and can do a little bit of everything. Alex is a lifetime student, and has studied aviation, criminal justice, aviation maintenance, alternative energy and manufacturing. Originally from Michigan, he moved here with his fiance - Lexi. They bought their first home in North Knoxville and are hoping to build a cabin in the mountains soon. Alex is a licensed scuba diver, and can operate any piece of machinery. He has 2 puppies and he and Lexi plan to get married in 2 years.
CFO, CPA - Andrew graduated from the University of Tennessee with an undergraduate Degree in Accounting and a Masters of Accountancy. He started his career at a large CPA firm where many of his clients were commercial contractors. In addition to public accounting, Andrew has also worked in the software industry. He and his wife enjoy traveling, hiking in the Smokies and working in the yard. They’re also involved with ministries and other organizations dedicated to the betterment of the community.
Community Sales Assistant - Bradley was born and raised in Knoxville, and has spent the last six years working in sports broadcasting covering UTK athletics. He has most recently been a contributor on The Swain Event, as well as, provided play-by-play description for Bearden and Concord Christian athletics. Bradley and his fiancée, Jordi, are soon-to-be married and dream of bringing a positive impact to the Knoxville community - in both Real Estate and Education - for a very long time.
Project Manager - Chris has been a contractor for over 10 years. His knowledge and experience spans every aspect of the construction process. Chris attended the University of Central Florida where he majored in Business and Marketing. He enjoys the creativity involved with making sure a project fits with a homeowner’s vision. Chris is a born and raised outdoorsman and enjoys everything outside. Chris and his wife enjoy spending time with their five children, three of whom are adopted from Uganda.
Controller- Despite a strong dislike for tomatoes, Gerri and her four brothers grew up in Thorn Hill, Tenn., renowned for its tomato production. Her daughter, Brittany, son, Josh and new granddaughter Lyanna keep her busy day-to-day—but when she's not enjoying family time, she loves a good scary movie or Stephen King novel.
Community Sales Manager- Originally from Ohio, Glenn has moved all over the south-eastern states with his wife and 4 sons, working and serving in a variety of different ventures along the way. He loves spending time with family and friends, regular date nights with his wife and being “Grandy” to 5 super cool grandchildren. Glenn loves fixing things and solving problems of all kinds! Some of his hobbies and interests are tree houses, sports, movies, home renovation and construction.
Project Superintendent - Grigore came to Knoxville from eastern Europe, ready for new challenges and opportunities. Experienced in home construction, Grigore is an idea guy, continually coming up with new ways to improve our processes. Grigore is married with one beautiful daughter and another one on the way. Away from work, Grigore enjoys spending time with family and friends, and he's an avid soccer and tennis fan.
Junior Estimator- Jeanine has 14 years of accounting experience in a variety of fields, but has most enjoyed her work with construction companies. She joined Turner Homes to expand her knowledge in the field of estimating. Jeanine grew up in a small Indiana town and spent many holidays visiting her grandparents in Knoxville before moving to the area. Jeanine enjoys spending time with her two children, teaching mindfulness to kids, and working with health care providers to develop wellness in the workplace.
Administrative Assistant - Jordan Tilley is a Sevierville native and University of Tennessee graduate with a BS in Communications. She majored in Advertising with a minor in Business Management. Jordan has four furry roommates, her 2 Boxers (Fenway & Tessie), and 2 Havanese (Bailey Poe & Bo). In her spare time Jordan loves to travel. She's been to Disney 22 times.
Administration- Originally from Erie, PA, Kelly Horstman has called Knoxville home for the past 17 years. Kelly has been married for 20 years and has two kids, Chase and Sydney Kate. In her free time, she enjoys running and completed the Disney Marathon in 2013.
Director of Operations- Lisa graduated from Purdue University with a degree in interior design with a minor in building construction. She's always enjoyed working for architects, design firms, commercial furniture dealerships and builders. She's been married for 33 years and her family of 5 keeps growing to include 2 spouses & 1 granddaughter. When she's not working, she loves to be Mimi, garden, travel, bake and laugh with good friends and family.
Estimator & Building Systems Director- Mike is a long time Knoxville native with over 22 years of industry experience. His expertise was built working for companies such as Cooper Homes, Saddlebrook Properties & Reynolds New Leaf Homes in Georgia. Mike also participates as a member of the American Society of Estimators Nashville chapter. When not spending time with his wife and 2 children, Mike enjoys being an active member in Knox County 4H or acting as a scorekeeper for the TN Valley Fair and TN Science Bowl.
Interior Designer- Natalie pursued an education at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Interior Design. She has over six years of experience in the industry and is a Registered Interior Designer in the state of Tennessee. When Natalie is not designing, you can find her taking photos, quilting, traveling or volunteering with the ministry at her church.
Accounts Payable Clerk- An experienced clerk, Nikki is new to the construction industry, but has long been interested in home renovation. Her love for the construction industry grew through watching reality-TV shows like Fixer Upper and Cabin Masters. Nikki is a recent newlywed to her husband Thomas, and also became a stepmom to their wonderful 6-year-old daughter Bailee. In her spare time, Nikki enjoys hiking and spending time with her family outdoors fishing or kayaking near their home on Watts Bar Lake, and playing with their dogs Sitka and Luna.
Director of Finance - Patti grew up in Knoxville, but has called many places home, including Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, Missouri and California. 14 years ago, she returned to her first home to be closer to family. She has earned an MS in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. Patti has worked as an engineer and project manager in a number of different industries, including tech start ups, high-tech manufacturing, and graduate education. Obviously she loves to learn new things and that brings certifications in project management, six sigma (green belt), and human resources. When she's not working she enjoys reading, traveling, the arts, and doing all of those things along side her 24 year old daughter, Demi.
Project Manager - Originally from Minnesota, Rick moved to East Tennessee in 2016 to escape the brutal winters of the Upper Midwest. He has over 37 years in the construction business and brings a passion for custom home building. Rick has been happily married for 40 years - he has 2 daughters, 7 grandchildren and 2 dogs. He enjoys woodworking and gardening and loves to barbecue.
Director of Field Operations & Sales - Shawn grew up in the much cooler climate of Cape Cod Massachusetts, Shawn headed south where he attended The University of Central Florida and received his Bachelors Degree in Legal Studies. He brings with him 15 years of experience in the residential building industry. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, playing ice hockey and boating on the weekends.
Project Manager- With nearly a decade in the residential remodeling field, Stefan brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Turner Homes as a Project Manager. Stefan has experience in everything from woodworking to whole house construction and remodeling, and he manages projects efficiently and within budget while treating your home as if it were his own. In his off time, you might find him volunteering with his wife and two kids or hiking the Appalachian Trail.
Project Superintendent- Tommy has been with Turner Homes more than 12 years and brings us 20 years of commercial and residential construction experience. In his free time, Tommy likes to do outdoor activities with his wife and dogs. He's also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Community Sales Manager - Travis graduated from East Tennessee State University with a degree in Construction Engineering. He has been around the residential construction industry for the past 13 years and has been selling new construction for the past 4 and half years. He has a beautiful wife and 4 wonderful daughters. He enjoys running, hiking, and playing outside with his family as much as possible.
